Karl and Rose Klausen founded the company KK Metal in a 30 m2 workshop in Hørdum, which was rented by Karl’s father. The foundation of the company is the production of lamp mounting parts, termed swan necks. The swan necks continue to be a part of the company’s production line, and KK Metal is the only company in Denmark to manufacture swan necks.
1. August 2002, brothers Allan and Emil Skriver Christensen took over KK Metal, when Karl and Rose decided to end their long careers and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
At this time the area consisted of 1,300 m2, and KK Metal had about 20 employees. Over the years, a lot has been invested in the machinery, and KK Metal is recognised as a serious and reliable sub supplier for many Danish companies.
Since the time of the take over, Allan and Emil have continued the strategy to constantly develop the company, and in 2005 KK Metal expanded again, now offering a 875 m2 production and 180 m2 canteen and changing rooms. Today, the areal is thus approximately 3,000 m2.
Today Emil is the sole owner of the company and together with a very qualified board that has many years of experience within the metal-working industry KK Metal is continuing having great succes as a sub supplier.
KK Metal continually invests in modern production equipment, and the philosophy is production with the highest degree of atomisation.
The machinery offers a modern and wide range of services, because KK Metal wishes to offer its customers full service delivery within the iron and metal industry.
